Disappointing - no match for my old Falcon
Overall it's not a bad cooker, but for the price I certainly expected better. Pros The multi-function oven is pretty handy - the defrost is particularly useful, and the fast heatup. The clock is also useful - being able to set the oven for when you want dinner ready is a nice function. Cons The grill pan has no handle, so there's no way to lift it out of the sliding rack unless you treat it as you would an oven tray. The burners seem quite unbalanced - the wok burner overpowered and the smaller burners underpowered. The smallest one in particular seems like you might as well breathe on the food to cook it. The doors are tinny and don't feel like they shut properly. The bottom shelf of the right-hand oven is unusable because the racks don't fit it - the racks are closer together at the bottom meaning that the racks just won't go in. The pan supports are flimsy - very thin metal - and also skimpy - unless you are placing a pan directly over a burner there is nowhere else you can put it on the cooker, meaning that you have to put hot pans on the worktop because they won't balance anywhere else on the stovetop. Overall I wish I'd sprung for the extra money on a new Falcon, which had lasted me for nearly eighteen years. Can't see this one making it that long.
