For over 70 years, the Menenghetti family have been combining artisanal skills with a passion for quality and contemporary design. They have gained a huge reputation for producing truly impressive cooking appliances which sell across the world – particularly in the USA.
The Sofia collection (named in honour of the Italian movie star) was launched back in 2015, with a bold design that brings all the quality, performance and style you would expect from this exceptional brand.
This 48 inch model (1216mm wide) is deeper than the standard UK cabinet at 691mm, so it will either project slightly into the room or if you prefer a flush look you will need to build your kitchen accordingly. This purposeful cooker features TWO multifunction ovens – a 124.5 litre main oven with dual internal fans and a range of fanned, non-fanned and grilling functions, plus a smaller 76.5 litre oven on the right to give an amazing degree of flexibility and performance. The pyrolytic self-cleaning mode when in use reaches an impressively high temperature (approx. 470°C) to incinerate left-over dirt and grease from both oven cavities.
On top are six professional, brass-bound Crescendo gas burners, with dual control allowing adjustment from a very gentle 0.35kW up to a sizzling 4.5kW. Alongside this is a superb cast iron griddle plate over a tubular gas element, giving you a brilliant cooking surface for larger dishes.
A lovely extra touch is the ability to order a bespoke name-plate with signature content and style of your own choosing, which will be engraved and delivered separately.
So, if you love cooking or simply want an amazing kitchen to show off to your friends and family, this is the brand to do it with. Spectacular engineering and Italian passion all in one glorious package.
