Consider your cooking style and preferences, and explore the range of features and designs available to find your perfect match…

The Baker

A range cooker offers so many features and functions for the home baker. Style, size, fuel type, and not to mention all the added settings you can select, brings a wide choice to make sure you have the right cooker for your baking needs.

ILVE’s E3 Temperature Control and Baking Setting

ILVE range cookers pay close attention to the technology they use within their products. With E3 technology, you can carefully adjust the temperature in 5°C increments, from 30°C to 300°C. This feature is unique to ILVE’s range cookers and means you are no longer faced with inaccurate cooking conditions.

Alongside this, there is a choice of 15 functions on an ILVE range cooker. As well as quick start and rapid heat up, there is the very important baking setting. This baking function distributes the heat evenly to ensure an even, moist bake every time. Use this with the steam discharge vent, allowing you to control the humidity of the double oven by retaining the moisture when baking bread, to create some perfect bakes with an ILVE.

Rangemaster Bread Proving Drawer

When baking bread, there are some ranges that actually offer a dedicated bread proving drawer. Keen bakers will welcome this exciting addition, available on a number of the Rangemaster Deluxe models. This unique feature to range cookers reaches a temperature of 40°C, so you can rest and rise dough prior to your baking. This drawer can also be used to melt ingredients such as butter, rest meat or warm up plates ready for serving (also doubling up as a great storage drawer when not in use.

The BBQ’er

We may like the thought of sitting outside and summer cooking whenever possible, however the weather in this country doesn’t always allow this. That is why a lot of the range cookers we sell offer a variety of options to help you bring the BBQ indoors.

Lacanche Gas Chargill

Available as an additional element on a number of Lacanche’s larger models is the Gas Chargrill. This is a very effective indoor BBQ, which can be used for all of the usual food items you would use on your outdoor BBQ. It includes a drip tray for catching all grease and fat, and enamel burner housing for easy cleaning.

Bertazzoni Professional Induction Hotplate

New to our website is the Bertazzoni Professional 120 Induction, a brilliant size cooker that is perfect for those indoor BBQ’s. On top is a sleek five zone induction hob, plus a stainless steel electric griddle, offering copious amounts of space for cooking multiple dishes. All five heating elements on the hob can be used simultaneously, even if you are using the ovens for baking or roasting.

Placed over two zones, the electric griddle is a convenient accessory and is great for cooking anything you would normally cook on a grill, such as steaks, vegetables, sausages etc.

The Family Feeder

For families who are always on the go, convenience and efficiency are key. A range cooker with a large capacity oven is a must for accommodating multiple dishes and saving precious time.

For a great entry level option, take a look at the New World Contemporary. With over 120 years of experience, New World’s range of cookers are focused on putting family and food first with a value for money, no frills approach to manufacture. This 90cm dual fuel range cooker offers a 60 litre fanned oven in the bottom left cavity, a 66 litre fanned oven on the right and a 30 litre grill top left. The 5 burner gas hob on top features hardwearing matt enamelled supports, keeping your pots and pans stable and safe, plus a powerful 3.8kW central wok burner for making the perfect stir fry.

For those who are willing to spend a little more, the AGA Masterchef Deluxe 110 is the perfect cooker for anybody who aspires to owning an AGA but prefers the instant control of a conventional cooker. One specialist feature of this cooker that is ideal for families is the child lock function. To prevent the unwanted use by children, the hob can be locked. Locking the hob won’t affect the ovens, these can still be used but it prevents any little hands touching the induction hob and creating unwanted heat or potential burns.

There is also the handy inclusion of a bridging zone, meaning two induction zones can work in unison to give you evenly distributed power. This is great with either an induction friendly griddle, or when creating larger dishes for the whole family.

Also look out for ovens with things such as pyrolytic cleaning, also saving you time after feeding. The pyrolytic cleaning system means at the turn of a knob your range will lock the door and run a 500°C cycle which will burn off all grease and grime and bring the interior of your oven up like new for the cost of a few pennies.

The Roast Dinner Maker

The Great British roast dinner, a staple meal in many people’s lives. When it comes to cooking all the different dishes that make up this traditional dinner, there is lots to think about with different timings, different heats…it can quickly become a nightmare!

Some handy tips for when you’re cooking a roast:

  • Cook as much as you can in the oven at the same time – when cooking a large meal such as your roast, make sure you prepare all of the vegetables and accompaniments so they can go in the oven at the same time. By getting the timings right, using a trusty timer built into your cooker, you can make sure all of the heat and energy is used properly and should reduce the amount of time you need the oven on for.
  • Choose fan-assisted or convection ovens – fan assisted or convection ovens circulate the heat around your food, cooking it at a lower temperature than a traditional oven. Fan assisted ovens use 20°C less to reach the equivalent of gas mark 6, making them a more energy-efficient option.
  • Parboil your potatoes and vegetables before roasting – parboiling your veg for five to ten minutes before roasting them not only helps to soften them but also means they take less time to cook in the oven.
  • Shorten your cooking time by defrosting your meat in the fridge overnight – this could halve your cooking time and save you money in the process. You could also try switching your oven off 10 minutes before your food is fully ready, as the temperature will stay the same and continue to cook your food.

Rangemaster Classic 90 FX

A single oven range cooker may seem far too small for cooking all those dishes, but that is not the case with this model. This cooker includes a unique Energy Saving Panel, that allows you to split the oven in half. Boasting a 114 litre oven, you can fit multiple dishes side by side to make sure you cook everything you could possibly need for the perfect roast.

Rayburn Ranger

For over 75 years, Rayburn by AGA has been the warm, beating heart of many British homes. Leading the field in central heating range cookers, with its iconic design and reliability, it is easy to see why the Rayburn has gone from strength to strength.

The Rayburn Ranger is a totally flexible and controllable cast-iron range cooker, offering a grill, large cast-iron hotplate and a two-zone induction hob on top. It also benefits from three large ovens, which can be operated independently and helps you to evenly spread out your dishes. This electric range cooker requires no servicing, no plinth and no flue, easily slotting into any kitchen design.

The Multi-Tasker

One of the most enjoyable aspects of cooking with a range cooker is the ability to prepare multiple dishes for multiple people. Whether you’re cooking for your family or getting ready to host a dinner party, your range cooker can handle the demands of multiple dishes at once.

Stoves Zoneless Induction

The all new Stoves FreedomFlex™️ technology takes away the typical induction zones and gives you the freedom to have a full surface cooking area that can accommodate up to six pans of any shape or size!

This special appliance reinvents the induction hob as you know it. The very intelligent management system will remember the heat settings of any pan should it need to be moved to another position, giving you flexibility and capacity within your cooking. There are also a number of useful pre-programmed settings for melting chocolate, simmering and keeping food warm.

Not only this, but Stoves is the only brand to offer four working ovens across the Deluxe collection. The main cavity is a multifunction oven with 13 functions to choose from, including Equiflow™️ fanned cooking for perfectly consistent results, bread proving, and a tempting pizza setting. There is also a separate designated fanned oven, a very useful slow cook oven and an additional conventional oven when you need the flexibility of extra capacity.

The Stir Fryer

Woks have become an integral part of a kitchen, with them being used for a variety of cooking tasks including stir-frying, boiling and steaming.

Many of our range cookers offer a central, very powerful, wok burner. However, if your wok happens to have a rounded base, it may not sit on your hob securely. This is where a wok ring comes in very handy, as they provide a stable platform for your wok.

There is also the option of stir-frying on a griddle. A teppanyaki style griddle, included on various models from ILVE, Rangemaster, Lacanche and Bertazzoni, means you can achieve the best charred and smokey flavouring you could want for your meal.

ILVE Roma 150 Fry Top

The superb removable fry top on this very impressive range cooker is a real must-have for serious cooks – a solid stainless steel teppanyaki-style cooking surface brilliant for anything from meat, fish and all day breakfasts to drop-scones, pancakes or stir fries.

The versatile and huge 97 litre multifunction main oven includes a rotisserie and gives you 15 fanned, conventional and grilling functions, with the large 65 litre second oven offering non-fanned cooking and grilling functions.
